With a near-silent buzz, the camera fades in to reveal a small funeral taking place. Overcast and dark, the clouds that hung overhead did nothing in the way of giving comfort to those few people that gathered around the fully polished casket that sat above the hollowed plot of land. As the scene progressed it quickly became clear that leading the procession could barely be heard if at all. Furthermore, the camera was not focused solely upon those that were gathered around. Instead, a lone woman clad in a long flowing Victoria era-like dress and match veil captured the attention of the ECWF faithful that were watching. Then, without any visual indication that someone was speaking, a distinctly feminine voice could be heard; the voice of the Women's World Champion. "Death; the only true constant that every person instinctively understands as the only true guarantee within this world. While it may be true that stories of immortality and youthful fountains have been weaved and passed down through the generations, it has always been that of desperate delusion to avoid this inevitable guarantee. Whether it be cementing out names within the pages of history or laminating our legacies through dauntless perseverance, humanity has always strived to rebel against that unavoidable ending of life."
"It would be tragic if it were not so pathetic."
"Although, it does remind me of this ongoing spat that is currently transpiring between us Zdunich. You keep throwing yourself at me in this continuously vain and futile attempt to tear the Extreme Championship Wrestling Federation Women's World Championship from my clutches. Yet, the only convictions that you have ever displayed are those that seem uncannily similar to a spoiled child that has never known the simplistic two-letter word we all demonstrate and use on a daily basis as "NO". Since we, with the exception of yourself, are fully aware of this; allow me to give further context."
"NO Crystal Zdunich, you did not win at Starrcadee."
"NO; you are NOT better than Claire Hawkins."
"NO; you did NOT win the Women's World Championship nor will you ever."
"See? It is a fairly simple concept to understand and utilize. Yet, despite this, you only dig your heels in further and double down with this absurd trope of being this spoilt child that will not be denied. With child-like impertinence, you continue to claim that the Women's World Championship will be yours simply because you claim it to be; that I, its rightful champion, are nothing more than a stone to be stepped upon. Yet, it was I that defeated you at Starrcade; embarrassing you within the walls of the world's most famous arena."As the unmistakable voice of the Extreme Championship Wrestling Federations Women's World Champion ceased, the camera shifted back towards the funeral as it seemed to come to an end as well; the few unnamed people shuffling away. Without haste, the woman swathed in black moved from her position and appeared to glide atop the grass as she gracefully began closing the distance to the plot; the casket still raised, surprisingly. "We are far too different, you and I."
'You bolster your absurd boastings with proclaiming yourself to be the best; that Crystal Sdunich is the be-all-end-all that cannot be touched. With wrongfully earned confidence, you traverse the halls as if you had truly accomplished something here in the Extreme Championship Wrestling Federation. Yeah, you won the Women's Wartime Rumble and you thwarted the attempts of Twisted Liberty and Latoya Hixx at the last Revolution. However, you were embarrassed and made to look a fool the time before when you entered the Wartime Rumble. You were embarrassed and made to look like a fool when I DEFEATED you at Starrcade. Do you understand yet? Must I make it clear to you further?"
"You outlasted twenty women?"
I am better than a thousand."
"You emerged victorious over Liberty and Hixx?"
"I haven't lost a match since I debuted nearly EIGHT months ago."
"Yet, and more importantly, the reason why we are different is that you are simply a mortal flesh bag while I am an UNSTOPPABLE force of nature. When you crawl back to your wife and child, embarrassed and broken; I march forward without care nor fear of what awaits me. I carry the Women's World Championship proudly and act as a beacon for all of those that seek to be the BEST. I have placed this company upon my shoulders with the unselfish intention of raising it beyond the heights of glory that it tasted in the past."
"I am the Witch."
"I am the undisputed Women's World Champion in the Extreme Wrestling Championship Federation!"
"You?"
"You're the same as you were when we clashed at Starrcade; a weak delusion hack that cannot swallow her pride, as well as she, does anything else."
Reaching the targeted area, the woman pressed her pale hand against the smoothed polished surface of the casket. Without a warning or visual indication, the modern pine box abruptly ignited into a fiery blaze that could undoubtedly be seen for miles. Unflinching and without any semblance of haste to remove herself from near the brilliant display, the woman removed the veil from her face and allowed those raven-dark locks freely fall as she kept her gaze firmly affixed upon the dancing flames; the face already known now revealed.
"Crystal Zdunich; the moment we enter the ring a second time shall inevitably end like the first. We shall fight and I shall emerge as the Women's World Champion still. For, within the Extreme Wrestling Championship Federation, I am that guarantee that brings a halt to your ambitions and delusions. I am that which brings an end to your dream of becoming the Women's World Champion and your ambition of being considered the best in the world. I am that which no living being can avoid."
"Crystal Zdunich......."
"I. AM. DEATH."
Without a second of hesitation, the Pale Horsewoman of ECWF threw the veil into the dancing flames. With a burst as equally explosive as the first, the fire burned brightly as the camera faded to black. The dark silhouette of Claire Hawkins standing as a somber reminder of death amidst the fiery light of life.
4/27/2021 Aunt Dinah's DIner Somewhere between here and there Sitting quietly and keeping to herself as the bustling of the dinner continued on around her, Claire kept her porcelain pale nose buried within the book she was reading. Covered by a large black cover, the identification of the book was something of an impossible task unless one was already within the know. However, that was neither here nor there as the Extreme Championship Wrestling Federation's WOmen's World Champion primarily remained oblivious to those around here. "What's happenin' spooky boo?"Like brakes whose pads had been worn down to near nothing, the familiar voice of her long time wrestling comrade made his presence known and unapologetically placed himself in seat across from her in their normal booth. With an exasperated sigh, she raised her head up from her book in order to meet his eye; the boyish smile of his unwavering despite the near perpetual glare she gave. "How have you been Mathew?""Oh ya know. Wrestling show here and a gig there, nothing' overly entertaining. Not like bein' the ECWF Women's World Champ.""Or any champion for that matter.""Yeah well, not everyone can win the Action Wrestling Tv title for a record-setting' third time while continuing to be a dominant force in such a crazily storied place such as ECWF. Cut me some slack, yeah?"With a halfhearted scoff, she closed her book before sliding it back into her bag as the food that she had ordered sometime before his arrival arrived. "Awww yeah! Ya actually got something for me! Normally ya just let me wallow in my hunger an' are just mean about it.""Yes, well there needed to be some sort of reward for consecutively showing up on time.""Rude!"Although they acted like an oversized man-child and the watchful gaze of his Wednesday Adams-like sister, the two of them had a deep understanding of one another that could only come from spending countless years on the road together. Even though they were still considered fairly green to the rest of the wrestling world's grizzled community, it was undeniable that the time spent being ostracized by those same grizzled fools had been beneficial. After all, how often was one able to form true lifelong friendship within this business of money and sharks? Exactly. "My punctuality asi-""Or lack thereof....""Right. That aside, what do ya have planned for Zdunich this time? You seem to be pretty firmly in her head and she seems pretty focused because of it.""I'll beat her the same as I did the last time. Simple as that.""That's it? You aren't afraid that she'll use her family as motivation to push herself? Family is a powerful motivator after all.""Hardly. Crystal is a woman born and bred in the golden hills of Hollywood. If she actually cared about anything other than herself it would be quite the surprise.""But.....she is married. Has a kid too.""And? My dear Mathew, there are hundreds if not thousands of selfish fools in this country that have families. They take care of them with the same brazenly thin-veiled lack of care as they would anything else.""You're awfully nihilistic today.""More so than usual?""Alright. I'll give ya that one."Speaking in between mouthfuls of food, the duo continued their annual meeting within the walls of the little diner. Yet, even as their conversation turned to other things, a feeling of foreboding began to creep within. What if her eight-month rule as the Women's World Champion came to an end on Friday at the hands of that brainless cur? What if she lost the trust and the respect of the Rock "n" Roll God cause of it? What if it was her that ate the bitter pill of defeat in the main event of Revolution?
Crystal Zdunich.......the self-proclaimed Blossoming Rose.....
Can you feel it drawing near; the end? Can you feel the weight upon your chest as falsehoods and ill-informed claims you boast desperately about being shoved down your throat? Can you bear the weight of the realization that, despite your many successes in this industry, I am your greatest failure?
Failure.
Yes. That is quite the appropriate word to describe the time you have spent gracing the halls of this company; MY realm of devastation and rehabilitation. That's it isn't it? Every time you have tasted some modicum of success in ECWF you are ultimately met with an obstacle that you cannot bypass. You won the WarTime Rumble but were defeated by my hand at Starrcade. YOu defeated Hixx and Liberty, but you shall be defeated by my hand AGAIN.
That my dear is the stark reality of the world you live in. You are NOT a starlet. You are NOT someone worthy of MY respect. You are NOT someone who shall bring the Extreme Championship Wrestling Federation into a new age of Women's wrestling.
I AM!
I HAVE!
I will CONTINUE doing so!
Understand? Good girl. Now, since I am so deeply burrowed into the darkest reaches of your mind, allow me to pose a different question. Tell my Crystal, what happens to THEM with every failure you encounter? What happens when the love is not enough to sustain holy matrimony and your wife inevitably leaves you for someone with more......promise? What happens when your daughter, who looked to you as her hero, no longer has you within her heart. When she sees you for the pathetic sack of filth that you are for choosing your failure of a career over her life?
Does it anger you?
Does it motivate you?
Good! FOr that is what I want. I want you to fully understand the futility of what you seek to do. You cannot dethrone me as the Women's World Champion. You cannot compare to me in terms of dedication and sheer focus. After all, I said it before didn't I? I am better than a THOUSAND competitor. Unlike the wartime rumble, there is no outlasting a force of nature. There is no battling the elements like some fiction hero in the movies. There is only the inevitable. There is only death. There is only ME.
Crystal Zdunich......
Hold your family close while you are still able, for once we step back into that ring once more there will not be any semblance of support or encouragement from them. They shall only see as I do; the REAL you. They shall only see the woefully arrogant sack of shit that chooses FAILURE time and time again over their love. They will only see you as the weak and broken woman that I have come to know within that ring. They shall see a woman's record-setting seventeen World Championship accrual for EXACTLY what it is; NOTHING.
IT means nothing.
SCW means nothing.
YOU. MEAN. NOTHING
Therefore, since you are such deadweight, I shall carry you through the main event this Friday Night Revolution. I shall, out of the graciousness of my heart, allow you to feel what it is like to truly experience what it is like to be rewarded through hard work and dauntless dedication. I shall bring that taste of glory.
Then I shall send you back down to the bottom of the pit of medicare and despair where you belong.
For IT is inevitable.
For I am inevitable.
Farewell Crystal Zdunich. May you never grace MY ring for a Women's World Championship match again.....for YOUR sake.

Hollywood Hills, California Zdunich Mansion
It was a beautiful day in one of the richest parts of California. Hollywood Hills was the home of many stars and a major list of who’s who in the entertainment world. In the backyard of one huge estate it is there we are taken poolside. A little ten year old girl could be seen swimming inside of a pool joined together by a short woman with curly hair and a tall blonde. They were splashing one another as they couldn’t help but enjoy their company with one another. However standing on the side of the pool on an exercise mat is Crystal Zdunich. The blue and green haired vixen tried her best to do some burpee exercises however while doing some Crystal gets a little lightheaded as she falls to the ground. The people in the pool don’t notice however another blonde walks outside and quickly runs over to check on her. That woman happens to be Crystal’s wife Seleana Zdunich.
Seleana: ¿Estas bien?
Crystal is slowly helped up by her wife. Crystal is now sitting up as she slowly glances back at her.
Crystal: I just have a little headache. I am sure things will be fine. Just give me a moment to regain my composure.
The reality however was that Crystal wasn’t fine. She never really recovered after receiving a concussion from Amber Ryan in SCW. In reality the fact that she was recently jumped by the hands of an English Demon and everyone targeting her head she was nowhere close to being “fine”. She couldn’t share what the doctors or her sister in law Eavan’s specialist said about her condition because she knew that everybody would quickly advise against her wrestling. She kept it to herself as she looked back at her wife.
Crystal: Why do you ask do I not look okay?! I guess I might just be a little dehydrated from all of this training.
Seleana nods slowly, knowingly.
Seleana: Ok, Estrellita, I was simply concerned for a moment. I love you, Chickie!
Crystal tries her best to make it to her feet but it isn’t long before she stumbles back to the ground. Upon seeing this the ten year old girl rushes out of the pool and runs over to where her mothers are.
Aurora: Is everything okay?!
Crystal looks back at the girl as she nods her head at her.
Crystal: I will be fine, you don’t have to worry about me.
Crystal looks at the girl befuddled as she sighs in return.
Crystal: I am sorry but what is your name again?!
The ten year old slowly looks over at Seleana as she doesn’t even know what to say.
Aurora: What is going on with mommy?! She isn’t acting like herself!
Seleana sighs sadly.
Seleana: You remember when that other lady hit her and hurt her?
Seleana nods to Crystal.
Seleana: This is because of that.
Turning to face her wife, Seleana nods.
Seleana: I know you want to work, to prove to everyone you are not the vapid, shallow and needy actress that they call you, but you need to allow yourself the proper rest and to heal, Estrellita. If you continue to punish yourself for things beyond your control, you will only do yourself further harm. Please…
She extends a hand to her wife.
Seleana: Let us help you.
Crystal takes the hand as Seleana helps bring her to her feet. She dusts herself off as she looks at them.
Crystal: You don’t understand though. I felt embarrassed last month. Do you know how hard it was for me to lose everything?! It was bad enough losing my SCW World Bombshell Championship but in the same weekend I finally got my big title match that I had earned after winning ECWF’s wartime rumble. I entered Madison Square Garden trying to do everything I possibly could to prove I was the best women's wrestler on the planet. I gave everything I had but it just wasn’t enough. I lost to a woman who views herself as a witch. Now after winning a contention match I have a chance to finally win World title gold again. I can become that World Women’s champion and do something that Eavan couldn’t do. This means everything to me. I have to push ahead and showcase I have what it takes to be an 18 time champion. It’s all or nothing and I hope you can understand that.
Seleana nods sympathetically.
Seleana: Si entiendo… pero…
Pausing to collect her own thoughts, Seleana looks directly into her wife’s eyes.
Seleana: You are capable of all things in that ring. You always have been. There is no denying this. You have a CV that proves it over and over but you cannot do those things if you cannot make it to the ring to start with! You need to care for yourself properly with this. If you do, you will be champion again. Of this, there is no doubt. But if you do not…
She motions at their daughter.
Seleana: Then you look into her eyes and explain to her why Mommy cannot be who she needs Mommy to be in things that have nothing to do with the ring. You look in the mirror and tell yourself why you cannot do things for yourself anymore! You can do this, Estrellita! I know you can!
Crystal nods her head as she looks at the little girl before she turns her attention back over to her wife.
Crystal: Listen Sel you know all of you mean everything to me. It’s just that my career does too. I have had a long career and no matter what I do or what strides I make. It often never seems to be enough for people. Every single day I keep trying to prove myself to be better and even more hungry than before. I just have to show this Clarie Hawkins chick that I am better than her. It is a fluke that I even lost in the first place. I need to get back to being on top.
Crystal pauses as she looks at everyone.
Crystal: If I am not successful how could we possibly afford any of this?! I just want the best life for all of you. I have to be that solid provider and despite there being people out there who don’t believe in me. I have to do what I do for all of you even if it costs me my own health. I just had a doctor tell me that…
Christina catches herself as she just shakes her head before looking back at her wife.
Crystal: Forget it… It was nothing important.
Seleana takes her wife’s face into her hands.
Seleana: You already are, Estrellita. You have provided for us many times over. Look at the little girl standing here with us, happy, healthy…
She nods emphatically.
Seleana: You did that. You provided her the care she needed and then we gave her the home she needed after. We would not have her at all if you were not that provider. We have so many things and we have them all because of you. We cannot ask for more of you.
Crystal: Well in my eyes it just never seems to be enough. Also add in the fact that some of your family hates me and doesn’t ever see me changing what else can I do? Wrestling is my life and I have to push ahead. Even if doctors tell me it’s not wise to continue doing what I do. I still need to fight ahead.
Crystal looks at everyone.
Crystal: You are all of my legacy but there has to be much more.
Seleana embraces Crystal.
Seleana: We love you, Chickie, to the end.
Crystal nods her head in return.
Crystal: And I love all of you. You honestly have no clue how much you all mean to me. I do wish people like Adrianna would forgive me. It was rough finally getting Eavan and I to be on good terms. Maybe there is hope for me yet right?!
Aurora walks over as she hugs Crystal as well. The little girl smiles as she looks up into her eyes.
Aurora: I believe in you mommy. I know you will make it back to the top! It won’t be long until you are champion again.
Crystal: Well if I have it my way hopefully it can be on Friday!
Aurora opens her eyes in amazement.
Aurora: Oh?! Where are you fighting at?!
Crystal looks at everyone before she calmly mutters out two words.
Crystal: West Hollywood...
Seleana: So you will be home?
Crystal nods her head.
Crystal: It will be right in my backyard. I know it was scary walking into the Garden and remembering how New York City was home for me when I was with the Williams. I can’t crumble again especially not in front of a city that I have resided in for the past thirteen years. You all will be there when I walk through the curtains to fight this Witch?!
Seleana: Of course, Chickie!
Aurora: I will be there too if Mommy Sel let’s me. I know title 18 is going to be even more special!
Crystal keeps her eyes locked on her daughter before she looks deeper into her eyes.
Crystal: Aurora! Sorry I forgot your name. It’s just with all of these head injuries I forgot some things. At some point me and your mommy will have a talk about what’s going on. No matter what though I will always love you and I am going to do my best to be there for you.
With that Crystal’s oldest daughter Brittany exits the pool with her wife. The two walk over.
Brittany: You know we both will be there. We can’t miss mom doing what she does best!
Halo: Y’all know it!
Crystal keeps her eyes locked on everyone as her smile just continues to brighten everything up.
Crystal: Thank you so much for all of the support. It honestly means the entire world to have such a huge support system in my life. I guess the only thing that is left to do is to go out there and win this main event so I can bring the championship home. You all are amazing and I love all of you!
A family hug envelopes Crystal.
Seleana: Ja, we love you!
Crystal suddenly smirks as she picks up her wife and throws her into the pool. Brittany smiles as she grabs Aurora and tosses her right in. Crystal stands at the edge of the pool laughing
Crystal: Nothing like family ja?!
Seleana pops up out of the water and nods.
Seleana: Ja!
Halo grins and grabs both Crystal and Brittany, jumping into the pool with both of them. With that all of the girls are splashing one another and it is on this happy image that we fade out on. For now the serious conversation between Crystal and her wife would have to wait for another day.
The scene comes into focus and as it does we are taken to Hollywood California. It is there where we can see Crystal Zdunich standing up by the famous Hollywood sign. Her eyes flicker as she crosses her arms and she gazes out into the distance. She cracks a wide grin as she begins to speak.
“How is it going ECWF nation… This is the one and only blossoming Rose Crystal Zdunich and I feel like I need to get some things off of my chest. First and foremost can I just say that I am truly happy to be part of this amazing roster?! I know ECWF is a really good company and things really started to go in the right direction when I got the phone call that I was requested to be part of their Wartime Female Rumble. I came into this company representing SCW as their World Champion. I entered that rumble with the intention to try to make my home company proud by putting on a stellar performance. However what I didn’t expect is that all of my hard work and dedication would result in that of a major win…”
Crystal begins to smile as she nods her head and continues to speak.
“It felt like a true dream come true. Not only was I able to win a match that I had previously felt I put up an embarrassing performance in but I was able to walk away with a World Championship match in my pocket. I was lined up to face their Women’s World Champion and I thought I could simply get by on my name and reputation. Starrcade was meant to be MY NIGHT. I was primed to walk into the MECCA and walk away with my hands raised proudly in the air and as a champion… At least that was my goal…”
Crystal shrugs her shoulders as she seems uneasy about the entire situation and looks right into the camera.
“However what ended up happening is the fact that I would be in for a major reality check. Things didn’t go as I had planned for them to go. I don’t know if I was blinded by the light of competing in Manhattan and all of the history that MSG has had but I laid one big goose egg. I didn’t get the job done. As a matter of fact I threw move after move at Claire. I hit her with my DDT and the woman just kept getting up. She jumped off that rope and when she came down she caught me with a stunner that would crush all of my hopes and aspirations of being a champion here… Claire was the victor and I had to walk away with my head down in shame…”
Crystal begins to shake her head sighing in return as she continues to share her heart for the camera.
“It was a tough time for me because it was my first official night in ECWF and it resulted in a win. Things went a totally different way but I guess the biggest blessing is the fact that I was able to get a chance to work my way towards another championship match. Not only was I victorious but now here I am in a main event competing for the championship that I should have won at Starrcade. On top of that I get to fight for the title in my own backyard in Hollywood… It’s all or nothing and I don’t plan to lose…”
Crystal smiles wider than before as she continues to speak.
“Besides… I had an awful Wartime Rumble the first time I entered it and look what happened when I entered into the match a second time. With this second chance at the Women’s World Title I am looking at history repeating itself and I plan to win this title and bring it around my waist. Nothing can stop me and I don’t plan on losing especially not to you Claire. Claire I am going to be blunt with you. When I fought you the first time I honestly thought it was going to be a walk in the park. I thought I was going to walk away with a win, and I thought it was going to be easy. You however shocked me and proved that wasn’t going to be the case. You beat me and I felt I was humbled in defeat.
However you truly are a witch because you went about business as usual. I don’t know if you think you have some spell on me where you will walk into this match and beat me again, but I guarantee that lightning will not strike in the same place again. I will beat you and I will give up every part of myself to do what is needed to get ahead…”
Crystal is very focused as she continues to share her heart.
“I can’t afford to lose especially not in Hollywood. They say that being in La La Land is a very tough place to compete at. It’s a city that will chew you up and definitely spit you out. You need to have thick skin in order to survive and I have lived here for almost 14 years. I own a movie studio here and it’s a place that has proudly embraced me. The hardest thing I have ever had to do was balance being a wrestle and a movie star, and I successfully have done both!
However despite owning my own company and being passionate about it! My true passion has always been wrestling and I am not going to let you get in the way of me becoming an 18 time World Champion. Wrestling is my livelihood and despite everybody that you might have beaten in this company. I know for a fact that I am better than you. Experience has to amount to something. You have been dominant ever since you got here, but the ONLY reason you are as good as you are is because I wasn’t here…
You need to rival me. I am the challenge that you have been waiting for and when we fight. I promise that I will leave with the title. So bring it all. Bring the spells the with craft but at the end of the day you will fall before me. You will lose and you will hear the phrase and NEW… Best of luck you will need it…”
With that Crystal smiles as we fade out on this image.
