~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PROLOGUE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
… … … … … What does it like to quit? It feels like you gave up on everything that you ever dreamed of. When you quit, you fail. I was at that point in my life. I wanted to give up. I didn't have the heart anymore. But then I got the motivation to get back up and fight again.
Cane, on the other hand, gave up. Everything about him is weak, and I'm going to be there to finally put him back in his place where he rightfully belongs.
Everything that I went through has brought me to this moment. I look at the past and remember why I am in this business. When things get hard, you go harder. You never look down, you look up. Look at what you have instead of what you don't have.
Cane, I never understand why you're here. Why are you here? What motivated you to be back? Since you came back, you pretty much gave up everything you have. You don't have the heart or the will to continue. At Starrcade, you wanted this Outlaw match, and I'm happy to give it to you. Cane, I can't wait to be the one to embarrass you at your own game.
You had Kat Jone, but everyone knows you're not good enough for her. Will she be there? I can't tell you. But I can tell you, this will be the last time I ever have to see you. What'll happen when everything you thought you had is gone? You become useless. You become a shell of your former self. I have Mellie, Cane. I know she'll be in my corner to watch you fail again.
You look for an easy way out, Cane. But you should know me and know I'm not the man you knew long ago. I'm going to hurt and humiliate. I'm going to make sure that everyone sees that Chris Cane is nothing but a fallen man. A man who went through a hard time and didn't have the heart he used to.
The window is closing on you, Chris Cane. When it does, people will see you as the man who can't get the job done. At Starrcade, everyone that you had in your corner will see you as the pathetic little man I already knew.
At Starrcade, I'm going to rise up and once again beat you. I warned you time and time again, Cane. I told you to stay away but no longer. At Starrcade, you're going to learn a lesson. And that lesson is, don't fuck with me.
At Starrcade, I'm going to end what I should've finished long ago.… … … … … ================================
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SCENE 1 » UNFORGIVEN ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chris and Mellie are walking the streets of New York City, New York, where Chris has to be ready for tonight's match against Cane. Chris knows that Kat Jones has left him and knows he won't have anyone in his corner for this Outlaw Match. Chris is wearing a black jacket, jeans, and sneakers. Mellie is wearing jeans, a black leather jacket, and boot heels.
“Is it true what I heard about Kat Jones not being there for Cane tonight?” “I think so. I spoke to Kat about it, and Cane has been off the deep end lately. I have to say that I'm not surprised. Cane hasn't been able to hold anything down except a couple of beers. So, Cane may end up being on his own.”
“Are you going to need me to help you out tonight?” Chris chuckled as he put his arm around her. She rests her head on his shoulder.
“Always. I know you would love to have a few shots at him. Which I think you deserve. After everything he's said about you, he'll get what's coming to him.”
They continue to walk down the street where Mellie went near a guard rail. She put her hands on it and looks out at the river.
“I just want to grab Cane and throw him into the river. I just want him to suffer for all the shit that he said. I mean, who does he think he is?” “He's a drunken bastard who couldn't hit the bright side of the barn. Do you think Cane can even handle everything considering what he has going on? No. Cane is going to be another sad excuse for a man. I don't understand and don't want to understand. All I want to do is destroy everything about him. I want to grab one of his beers and just smash it over his melon fucking head. I just...I don't know.”
She turns around and looks Chris in the eyes. She gives off sweet little giggles. She walked up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck.
“Can you do something for me, pretty boy?” “What is that?”
“Make him suffer. I want you to take him to the back shed and put him down like the dog that he is.” “And that is something I can do. How about we get something to eat before heading to the garden?”
“You know a way to me heart, handsome.” “Always do.”
She kissed him on the lips. They walked down the street and walks to side to get out of sight.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SCENE 2 » OUTLAW MATCH ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“What happens when you face a cowboy in his own game? You adapt to it.”
It was spoken as a scene comes up. You see Chris Matthews sitting by the river in New York City, New York. He's wearing a black jacket, jeans, and black sneakers. He looks at the camera and gets a smile on his face.
“What do you have, Cane? Hmm? What do you have left in this business? Nothing. You don't have anything left. You decided to come back and try to be a funny man. But you failed in your attempts. Do you see me laughing? No. All you see is a pissed-off man who wants to do nothing but hurt you. I want to make sure that everything that happened this month will have justice. All your stupid remarks on Twitter never phased me. Do you think I care about you? Hell no. I never cared about you. All I want to do is hurt you.”
"But I guess that's a good thing, right? Just thinking of all the pain that I'm going to unleash on you tonight. Cane, I'll be heading to Madison Square Garden soon. I just wanted to get this little thing out of the way. They say when one window closes, another opens. But not on you. When this ends, you're going to be just another battered and beaten man who has nothing left in this business. Tonight, it all ends for you."
Chris walks towards a guardrail and climbs on it. He turns around and sits down on the top, and smiles.
“I once had respect for you, Chris. But that's all done now. You burn that bridge, and you have nobody to blame but yourself. You're just another man who is way past his prime. I don't ask for things or demand them. But when there was a chance to get you in the ring, I knew I had to take it. Now, look at us. We're at Starrcade, and I couldn't be happier.”
"Wait, scratch that. Beating you in your game is going to make me a happy man. Who doesn't want to have the chance to shut your ugly ass up? I know I'm one, as are a million others. This business doesn't want you around, as do I. what happens when you beat a cowboy in his own game? You make him out to be a sad little man. In the end, it doesn't matter what happens. I know you, Cane. I know how much you want it to end. And guess what? I'm going to do that for you. I'm going to end you. I'm going to do to you what I should've done long ago, and that's breaking your neck. Cane, I hope you're ready. Cause I am. But knowing my luck, you're going to drink yourself stupid. And that's what everyone will remember you as. A drunken good-for-nothing redneck. See you tonight.
Fades.
