ECWF:
A Paradoxical Enigma, bouncing between the binary of epic effervescent equanimity and crazed crafty gritty veteran. A Shamanistic Sense. Always a wunderkind wild card. Scintillating swashbuckler and a savage warrior. That dichotomy of a dynamic dynamo is not just his wrestling style. There is this twinge of insincerity his critics often claim . He’s a doer while they are a sayer is his mentality. You can learn many things coming from a dynasty of intellectuals and workaholics, the one you can’t ever teach is gumption, he has that in spades. Is it a nature or nurture thing? His parents are the result of the same tough upbringing in Russian-Jewish scholar parents themselves, they rebelled enough to be Woodstock era hippies which is where they met. Ace’s father Ian is a Texan native, he is more right brained, mostly cowardly and earnest with a hidden backbone while his mother Esther is a brass New Yorker, a woman who took no crap from sexism of her era to be a renowned mind in theoretical physics. She’s left brained with a hidden heart of gold. Ace will always explain his older brother Arlo corrupted him, born with an IQ of 190, an interest early in the wonders of outer space, Arlo a musical prodigy himself who despite being a pacifist always a fanboy of martial arts and pro wrestling which rubbed off on Ace and he passed on that interest to his younger twin brothers Ivan and David who goes by Davey , they are two years younger than him. Davey became a pro wrestler about 11 years after Ace in 2009 and Ivan was only involved a bit in playing around with his brothers and joining Davey and Ace in backyard wrestling as IQ( Standing for Ivan Quipstar)
Ace was fortunate to have his brothers around for his athletic aspirations as he went into soccer and gymnastics, soon going into martial arts and amateur wrestling, they were game to go over techniques with him and they rough-housed normally as brothers do even as wrestling fans, it was a switch for Ace as he started training professionally with people twice even thrice his age and size of course. Ace never let his smaller size stop him, he did not have too much of a chip on his shoulder about it, he just had defined standards for how he should be treated plus fighting for others who can’t defend themselves. He has his father’s modesty and humility, and friendliness while he has his mother’s scrappiness . Fear is particularly rare for him. Plus he has always been just as measured as he was a maniac in what he did as a wrestler.
Even as a backyard wrestler, starting out on trampolines, the common thing was for them to springboard themselves from the trampoline to the roof of their house and dive off. That may seem like his wheelhouse, however Ace rarely did that, he stood out because he focused on combining his background in martial arts and amateur wrestling plus Lucha Libre is quite different from hardcore-highflying, he did some of the later , a swanton off a ladder sometimes however his approach was more of a spiderman-power rangers style mixed with childhood influence of Mortal Kombat, Karate Kid, Roadhouse, Bloodsport and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Video game characters such as Jumpman/ Mario, Fox McCloud from Starfox and Captain Falcon of F-Zero and later those characters in the Super Smash Bros franchise.
When he hit the indy scene in the early 2000’s he became more high-flying centered , a combination of influence from Jack-Ass, Jackie Chan and The Matrix. Plus Lucha Libre and Japanese wrestling southerners and midwesterns in the crowds were not familiar with.
That style is prevalent today, however back in 1998 to 2004 you could hit a dragon-rana or shooting star press and blow their minds. Ace’s pipedream fantasy was never to wrestle in American mainstream television, he saw that as unlikely due to his size, his intentions were not fame or fortune, it was getting the respect of his peers and veterans, those were the types of wrestlers he looked up to, these smaller wrestlers who were British, Japanese or Mexican were smaller yet viewed as the elite, he desired that form of recognition. Those wrestlers were also earliest versions of his peers in the independent wrestling scene of the early 2000’s to fight against the stereotypes of what a pro wrestler is, that 80’s pop culture reference of a larger than life superstar while they were out to prove you can be smaller, you can even be fatter or not look the part yet they could go compete as best as all those types of superstars even a bit better sometimes.
Ace has a lot in common with T.J. Alexander, also a former backyard wrestler. Nowadays it is way less stigmatized, normalized. T.J. lacks experience yet he is a fantastic athlete and Ace feels it is important for himself to always be on the crest of the wavelength of what is hot right now in the business and a kid like T.J. is a part of that present paradigm. Wrestling Ace will be a true test for T.J. how well his fundamentals and technique are, Ace makes the fundamentals fun to watch as a master magician of a mat technician alongside the cruiserweight excellence. He may be faster with his youth, more spry. He does not have the injuries Ace has but he will given the style they compete with. Experience is important however many veterans use it to overlook their opponents and Ace sometimes does that unfortuanetly.
Ace has always felt like he has something to prove, first it was his size, nowadays it is really just keeping his reputation he has built up, he has always craved the recognition from his peers and veterans to be an elite wrestler. He did not have dreams of grandeur of being a big television star through American media or reach the pinnacle spot of American television champion. His pipedream was Japan and after wrestling professionally for seven years , he achieved that at just 21 years old.
Ace is very competitive, he has a lot to prove as his reputation is on the line. Ace is out to prove you can't deny him.

(The scene opens up inside of the ECWF Arena where we see the ring all set-up and ready for the next show, inside the ring is TJ Alexander, who is sitting in the middle of the ring on a metal folded out chair, TJ who is wearing a blue Nike tracksuit and wearing his current three championships, the ICW world heavyweight title, the ECE United States title, and the IIW Television championship.)
“You know when you get into wrestling it’s because you’re attracted to the bright-lights of the show, or the athleticism of what we actually do in the ring, and in some ways your try and picture yourself as a wrestler, you picture yourself either big and strong, or you picture yourself with the ability to fly around the ring, like a superhero. And more often than not you’re portraying yourself of your favourite wrestler growing up. Well I know I did, I know that I followed a lot of British style wrestling, and I followed north American, and Japan style, and while I was studying all that I can I kept an eye on someone, someone who I never thought I would even get to meet, let alone wrestle, I kept my eye on my opponent and I became a huge fan of Ace Sky.”
(TJ smiles)
“I have followed you’re career and I have been a huge fan of yours Ace Sky, so much so that were actually a lot alike, so much so that were even started out in the same way, both backyard wrestlers, both smaller than most of our opponents and our wrestling style is similar. You and I Ace Sky could actually be carbon copy of each other, the only thing that is truly different, is that I am not just the current hot thing in the business, I am THE business, you see Ace as much as I have huge amounts of respect for you, I know something that you seemingly don’t, that this Friday night on Revolution I am beating my idol. I know that you Ace Sky are lacking motivation, because you seem to just pop up in promotions all over the place and then disappear? Why is that? When you get into these promotions you have one match and then nobody hears from you? I know why, and it’s the fact is everywhere you go, you see the next generational talent and they’re ten times better than you will ever be.”
(TJ pauses)
“You see that the path that you have led has inspired guys like me, but guys like me have upped the volume and raised the bar to heights you couldn’t. You have stagnated and seemingly stopped in one place metaphorical speaking that you have questioned your own self-worth and belonging. But let me tell you something Ace there’s a saying, you’re probably know it, never meet your idols. And right now it’s probably true.”
(TJ pauses)
“I see that we are opening the show on Friday Night Revolution and I hope that you show up and give me a fight, let’s put on a showcase for the fans, but the outcome is that I am walking out with the win, you see Ace Sky, I know that you will be a disappointed, I know that meeting one of my idols will be a let-down because I am gonna’ finish you off as quickly as possible. You may have the experience, you may have the background in mixed-martial arts and you even may have the entire wrestling world fooled in still thinking that you’re the biggest free agent, that you’re can attract the fans into the seats, but guess what? That’s my job now, and I am doing it bigger and better. The fact is Ace Sky is that these promotions feel sorry for you, they give you a contract out of pity, they let you in the locker room out of sadness for you, while when promotions contact me, and I know that they’re offering me a contract because they know I am the future of the business. Heck I am currently holding three belts across three companies, and when I beat you Ace Sky I will be putting my name into the conversation of a championship in ECWF too, maybe the next-Gen or even the world heavyweight title, but when I quickly and soundly beat your arse, I hope you realise that your way out of touch and out of depth with the likes of me around, so Ace Sky I am ready and I hope you will be.”
