(The scene opens up and we are backstage somewhere in the ECWF Arena, as we are in some hallway of the building, a few seconds later we see that TJ Alexander steps out from the dark, TJ who is dressed in street clothes, black jeans, and a black Nike Hood with the hood over his head, TJ also carrying two championships, ECE United States championship and the ICW World heavyweight title.)
“So here we are once again another week and another Revolution is here again and this week an opportunity has risen, this week I get a chance of being a contender for the Next-Gen championship when I beat two others in a triple threat match, my opponents are Robert Saint and Caine Marik and the winner will go on to face Dan Anderson for the Next-Gen championship.”
(TJ is heard gritting his teeth)
“You wanna know what I can’t stand around this place, in the halls of ECWF, in the locker room and especially in the board rooms, favouritism, there are too many people not just in ECWF I know, but here in ECWF people getting opportunity through favouritism, but not what they’ve done lately, opportunities should be given to people on merit but right now ECWF is seething through with people getting handed opportunities every damn week here and it pisses me off, like Robert Saint. Last week on Revolution there was a number one contendership match arranged and advertised between Robert Saint versus RazorBlade for the chance to be the number one contender for the Next-Gen championship, and what happened both men didn’t show, they bottled their appearance and the match had to be cancelled.”
(TJ frowns)
“Yet I was here opening the damn show with Ace Sky who we put on the match of the year candidate easily, but that doesn’t boils my blood, what boils my blood now is the fact that Robert Saint has once again got himself a damn opportunity in this triple threat, how is that right? How is that fair? Why has Robert Saint been placed in this match when last week he failed to appear? Robert Saint should not be anywhere near a title opportunity until he earns it, yet through his long lasting career, doors swing open for him, opportunities are thrown to him so this week on Revolution I am gonna’ make a statement, and that statement is that Robert Saint is on his arse suffering in pain, because I see a man holding onto dear life of a career that should have ended years ago, Robert Saint you know secretly that you don’t belong in this match, you know that you didn’t deserve it, so do yourself a favour and don’t show again, for your sake.”
(TJ frowns)
“But my other opponent is something I am seething about but in a good way, I am salivating at the thought of getting the chance to face Caine Marik, and I have watched Caine Marik for years and I know exactly how good you are Caine, I even paid close attention to your match last week against Heather Haze and how close you were in becoming the world heavyweight champion, and it was close. But that was then and this is now and everything has spun round and changed on its head because right now you’re not up against Heather Haze and the world champion, you’re up against someone similar like you in in-ring style and someone who like you were the future of this business, and yes you were the future of this business, but now I am. I know you have been paying your dues but now I am paying my dues and a big win against you will cement something that I currently need. A big win, a win against you, beating you in the middle of the ring will add to my story.”
(TJ grins)
“Last week against another idol of mine Ace Sky was just a minor set-back, it was a blip and it will not happen again, I will demand it from myself that it won’t happen again. Caine Marik I’m looking forward to this, you said last week boldly Caine Marik that you would walk out of Revolution last week with the world heavyweight title in hand, you said that you’ll hold it with honour and fury but as clear as crystal day you left Revolution last week empty handed.”
(TJ smirks a little)
“Empty handed and empty words were from you Caine Marik courtesy of being embarrassed by Heather Haze, this week you’ll be beaten and embarrassed by me, again walking out of Revolution you’ll be empty handed. I will drawn the first sword and I will drive it in your stomach taking your chances away and I will show you what a real champion is like when I am holding the Next-Gen championship in my hand sooner rather than later. Caine Marik I wish this was a singles match I really do because then we’d truly get down to the grit of who’s better, with all your accolades that you’ve won in the past Caine doesn’t mean you’re better, I’ve won accolades too and I am still growing my list of championships, time is on my hands. Caine Marik time isn’t on your hands.”
(TJ smirks)
“Caine Marik you’re going to get the best out of me and without a shadow of a doubt I’ll shock the world when I walk out with the opportunity of becoming number one contender.”
(Scene ends)

{We come into a black screen, not one single shred of light or any other kind of illumination can be seen anywhere when after a few seconds, a voice comes out of the inky blackness}
Voice: Inevitability.
{A couple of seconds later, the source of the voice appears as the "Black Swan" himself, Caine Marik steps fully into frame dressed in a simply charcoal gray suit with his long dark hair pulled back into a respectable ponytail as he regards the camera for a moment from behind his signature dark sunglasses}
Caine: That is a word that I want you to look up and remember, Heather Haze.
Inevitability.
The fact of being certain to happen and unable to be avoided or prevented.
Right now, the only reason that you are still the Extreme Championship Wrestling Federation World champion is because you managed to slip one past the ref and that allowed you to retain your title.
In short...you got *lucky*.
But then again what else should I expect from a promotion that allows a *hooker* to be its world champion...you use what your parents gave you in order to get that one lucky move that allowed you to retain your title last week.
{Caine chuckles, but the sound is very dry and hollow and utterly devoid of any kind of mirth as he reaches up and removes his sunglasses before folding them and placing them inside of his suit's jacket}
Caine: But the point of the matter that I want to make here to you, Heather, is that the last thing you should be doing right now is boasting about how you've got a win over me, because it won't take me long to once again be the number one contender for that title and then you're going to learn a very painful and hard truth;
That your title reign will end with me...is *INEVITABLE*.
And there is not a damned thing that you can do about it either, because I decided to take it easy on you in our first outing because I honestly thought that you would try and prove yourself a true champion by going toe to toe against me, like any other *respectable* World champion would when going up against someone of *my* *CALIBER*.
But instead, you fucked around...both in the figurative and literal sense...and then half assed our match with my in firm control of everything until you got that one moment of luck in and you retained...so the next time that we meet in that ring, and yes there will be a *next* time Heather, I will leave you in a pool of quivering flesh that you might not recover from because the next time, I won't be playing around.
Just like I'm going to do at this week's Revolution...and to you, Mister Alexander.
{Caine chuckles once more, the mirthless sound grows even more as he shakes his head}
Caine: Out of all three of my opponents for this match, you're the only one that's chosen to speak up and I salute you for that, but you say that you're "salivating" at the chance of facing me in the ring and you say that you understand about paying ones dues and what not.
That I can respect and I would love to show you that same respect in return, and yet you had to point out my loss and that's only natural because you think that is a sure fire way to get under my skin, don't you?
{The sound of Caine grinding his teeth can be heard only slightly before he rotates his head just enough that a loud crack can be heard as he looks back at the camera with a look of grim "amusement"}
Caine: Kid, I know that I lost and more importantly I know *how* I lost but unlike last week and my match against Heather Haze, you're an open book to me. You've been in this sport what, four years and you love to call yourself a "Game Changer"...well, this week on Revolution you get to step into the ring with a man who has been doing this for eleven years, that's eleven *years* of busting my ass and putting in my dues and winning championships along the way.
That's eleven *years* of making my own way in this sport for several years before I even started to use my actual surname as part of my in ring identity, let alone acknowledge my own family and it's combined accomplishments in this industry, TJ, and those accomplishments are quite extensive...but don't think for one fucking *minute* that I'm sitting my oh so well toned ass firmly atop those accomplishments because I'm not that kind of man.
No.
I'm the kind of man who is always hungry. Always hungry for that next match, that next challenge, that next opponent, that next title, that next *EVERYTHING*...and you say that you've followed my career for the past several years and yet you claim that you won't fall again to another opponent...that you *demand* better from yourself. TJ, while you might have made quite the accomplishments for yourself here in ECWF, but you're just like Heather Haze in that you're not ready to breathe in that rarified air that I've breathed in because I've been to the top of the mountain before and I've been there several times so my lungs are used to breathing in the air of a "Game Changer"...a "Grand Slam Champion"...and quite a many other things, but you...
{Caine's face breaks into a mirthless "smile" at this point}
Caine: You, TJ Alexander, I'll help you to get that first taste of that rarified air. I'll even let you gulp down a few healthy gulps so that you can get a taste of something....that you'll never ever have, so wipe that smirk off of your face because if you have even an inkling of what I'm capable of doing when I'm fully motivated to unleash hell upon somebody, then you should be the last man to stand between me and what I want.
And right now, I want that top contendership.
And those two little mouth breathers in Ace Sky and Robert Saint have got nothing that can be used to stand in my way while *you* on the other hand, seem more than perfectly happy to just being that;
{The "smile" disappears from Caine's face as he grits his teeth hard as his voice becomes a very low growl}
Caine: In.My.*WAY*.
I'm in this contendership match because this promotion's president knows full well that people like *ME* mean money, means asses in seats, and it means by higher buy rate than anyone else on this entire roster can pull and that *includes* this company's supposed "World Champion" in a freaking AV Star!! So when I say that I'm going to enter Revolution at perhaps my most pissed off and ready to tear some assholes *down*, then maybe...just fucking *MAYBE*...you should listen to what I'm saying instead of automatically assuming that you're going to win just because you erroneoulsy believe that you've gotten inside of the one head that you really should be more fucking *AFRAID* of rather than *fucking* with, TJ.
And that will be fixed very, very soon because you're not going to be using me nor my career to get a step up higher in this industry, TJ...no, what's going to happen is at Revolution, you're going to understand what has made me such a force in this industry for so long as you choke on perhaps one of the biggest nights of your young career, as well as those of our opponents for the evening.
Now, sit back and enjoy your hell.
{Caine gives the camera one last "smile" before he steps backwards into the darkness as the screen fades completely}
