{The screen fades into the workout area of a wrestling school where we find Caine Marik, dressed in a gray muscle shirt and black UA Unstoppable workout shorts, working the heavy bag as hard as he can, the camera taking the time to show us each brutal punch, elbow/forearm strike, and kick done on it before Caine stops for a moment and regards the camera}
Caine: You know in the days leading up to the last edition of Revolution, The "Game Changer" TJ Alexander said that without a shadow of a doubt that he was going to walk out of the last Revolution the next person for you to face, Danny Boy, and he was so incredibly assure of it, wasn't he? He thought that since I lost to Haze that I was going to be easy pickings.
{Caine allows himself a moment to smirk for the camera}
Caine: You see I won the match because TJ didn’t account for one major factor and that was exactly how *driven* I was to win that match and take this shot, Daniel, and now here we are and I know that you’re automatically assuming that you’re going to have an easy time of it because “oh…Haze beat this guy once already…”
I didn’t tear through three other guys last week to just fail at the pay per view, Danny Boy.
I didn’t come here *just* to take your title from you, to give you the due payback for defeating me the last go around.
Oh no.
I’m coming for a *reckoning*.
You see Danny Boy, after my lost to Haze a short while back, each and everyone of you pencil necked mooks in the back automatically assumed that I was the weakest creature here in this promotion and you all thought that you smelt my blood in the freaking waters when in fact it wasn’t *my* blood that you smelt in the water, but *YOURS*!
{The smirk disappears from Caine’s face as he starts to unload on the heavy bag once again, he starts to rain down punches until finally the chain holding up the bag snaps from the sheer force of the blows and it drops to the ground at which point Caine drops with it, dropping an elbow right where he’d been punching it before quickly mounting the bag and starting to ram his knees hard into the same location before stopping and leaning up to fix the camera a hard look once again}
Caine: But you want to know something really bloody fucking *honest*, Danny? I cannot believe that I'm saying this but I want to wish Heather Haze congratulations because she did something that I believed could not be done. You see, she made me mad. And the question is how did she do that?
I mean I was already winning matches, tearing through each and everyone of my opponents until I had that number one contenders spot held firmly in my grasp and then she *beat* *ME*, Danny. The little street walker got *lucky* and beat me, but you see here's the kicker...here's the reason why I want to congratulate her and that is because my losing to a sub par wrestler who simply gets away with her winning streak by turning tricks on the refs after each match that she has, that woke something somewhere deep down in my twisted soul, reawakening a sick SOB that had been waiting to be woken up!
And do you know what she did, oh Danny Boy! She woke up the SOB and then the powers that be here in the ECWF, knowing *exactly* what they had...what Heather Haze had fucking foolishly brought back through the pedantic twat's freaking carelessness, they pointed right at the path to the Next Gen championship...
{Caine smiles, but it is a twist, dark kind of smile..the kind of smile that a psychopath would give his next victim}
Caine: I won't deny it, I haven't felt like this in a long time, I've got actual goosebumps up and down my arms as I haven't felt this ALIVE in a good long time, Danny. And that's a very bad thing for you because before....before I was willing to simply wrestle you, maybe simply choke you out with your own wrist tape before taking *MY* Next Gen championship...
{Caine's wicked smile gets even bigger}
Caine: But no, I think that I need to set the example of how Next Gen championship matches are going to go from here on in...I think that I need to kick your head through an exposed turnbuckle, maybe that will dash any thoughts that you might have of getting past me and retaining your title? I want to see if you have the testicular fortitude to actually go toe to toe with me in the middle of that ring this time, to really see what you're capable of doing because I really don't think that you've got the brass to meet me blow for blow in that ring at the pay per view.
No, I think that you'll more than likely hear my music playing and then see the smile on my face…but then you’ll look beyond the smile and into these eyes of mine, and you’ll see not the usual held back rage, but something far more interesting…and violent. And at that point you’re going to understand one simple fact and that is on that night, you don’t stand a chance in hell because for all of your joking and misattempts at getting into my head, you’re going to learn that this is going to be one bloody dethroning.
Now I recall some of the things that you said towards my stablemate Robert in the lead up to your match with him back at Starcade for the same title. Yes, I will admit that you did in fact beat Robert, but you failed to do any of the other things that you yourself claimed that you were going to do to him such as and I quote…
{At this point, Caine does a very, VERY poor imitation of Dan Anderson, complete with a cocky little sneer}
Caine: "Now, it's time for me to shut you up, knock your teeth down your throat, and send you to the depths of the abyss, left to rot in your own mediocrity until you take your last breath. Robert, just know that what happens to you is on your hands. You brought this upon yourself. You have no one to blame but yourself for what's to come. You have been marked for death and now, it's time to meet your maker. Your Rogue Horsemen brethren and those watching StarrCade will bare witness to the execution of Robert Armstrong."....blah, blah, blah....
{Caine drops the imitation and shakes his head slowly, looking very disgusted as he does so}
Caine: No doubt when you deign to make a retort about what I've said here, you're going to use the same tired old lines that you've been using against everyone here in this company about how we need to use our "neanderthal brains to think of something original otherwise we need to just keep our damn mouths shut".
Funny, Danny Boy, because all that I've seen and heard from you is that exact same tired old bullshit that I've heard from everyone else time and time again, and yes...you have beaten me *once* because your little bitch at ringside helped you and not because of any real talent of your own and thus, the only one that should be keeping their unoriginal, neanderthal lame fucking duck brain over-riding their mouths SHUT, is your sorry ass and nobody else.
Oh you've been on quite the role, I will give you that, and you have lucked yourself past one opponent after another which only served to feed your ego hasn't?
But what are you going to actually do, Danny, when you're stuck in the ring against someone who has seen your tricks before and is ready for them. Who is walking into a match with you and not looking past you, but looking *AT* you with a genocidal gleam in his eyes...no doubt you're going to simply try and dismiss me with a wave of your hand like your some kind of King, but I'm going to take that hand that you so arrogantly going to dismiss me with, and I'm going to rip it and the whole damned arm that its attached to off your body and I'm going to gleefully BEAT you with it.
This match will not be pretty, oh Danny Boy, nor will it be the cakewalk that you assume its going to be based on every other match that you’ve had on pay per view thus far because you know, deep down in that blackened pit that you call a “soul” that I’m not some guy who claims to be a tough bastard but the actual freaking thing, and that’s because I’ve earned my stripes and paid my freaking dues by busting my ass all across the world and because of it, I’ve won gold on every single landmass on this planet.
And it’s that level of violence that I’m bringing to the match at the pay per view, Danny Boy. So you can say that I’m being as “unoriginal” all that you wish and want to, but the important thing to remember is that at Rain of Blood, you had better be thanking your freaking lucky stars that our match isn’t a death match because otherwise I’d have you hanging from meat hooks when everything is said and done.
And while you might believe that you’re the big bad final boss all because you’ve had a good run as the Next Gen champion, that’s going to stop me from knocking all of your damned teeth down pencil neck of yours, and claiming what is now rightfully *mine* in the ECWF Next Gen championship and while you’re looking up from the mat as I hold *MY* championship high above my head, I’m going to look down at you Danny Boy…and I'm going to show you exactly what I think of you as you hold out that last dying glimmer of hope that you might receive the slightest of moments of mercy from me when I show you that your reign is truly and utterly at a complete end when I shove you out of *my* ring and down into the depths of the pit of mediocrity because you were stupid enough to believe in your own fucking hype enough that it lead to the execution of your title reign at the hands of *ME*!
The "Diamond Dog"
The "Black Swan"
and the man who sold the fucking *WORLD*!!
And most important of all the *NEW* Extreme Championship Wrestling Federation Next Gen Champion!!
{Caine then drops one more very vicious knee onto the same place on the heavy bag that he's been working on the entire promo before he gets up, dusting his hands off as he goes}
Caine: Prepare to deal with your new reality, Danny Boy...it'll help you stay sane a hell of a lot easier.
{Caine casts the camera one more twisted smile as he starts to walk off as the camera shows us the spot on the heavy bag to reveal a torn and badly beaten render of Dan Anderson's face on the heavy bag as the screen then starts to fade to black}

Post by The Age of Fall on May 26, 2023 22:55:21 GMT -6
Scene 1
The scene opens up in the graveyard where Dan/The Age of Fall would "bury" whoever they have defeated since the beginning of the year. However, it seemed a little different this time. The gravestones are smashed...except for one. It's the one that reads "Here lies the hopes and dreams of the Rogue Horsemen". Some shoes are seen in front of the gravestone. The camera moves back to reveal Dan Anderson and Gage Atlas, Dan having a sledgehammer in hand and the Nex*Gen Championship around his waist. Gage has the World Tag Team Championship and the AWS Manic Championship in his grasp. Dan stares down at the gravestone for a few seconds then smashes it, laughing afterwards. The two turn to face the camera, Gage giving Dan his other Championships, placing them over his shoulders and Dan hands Gage the sledgehammer.
Dan Anderson Oh, hello ladies and gentlemen. I'm sure you all are wondering why we're here, smashing these gravestones. Well...this is place means nothing to me now. This place was special to the Age of Fall. It's where we would bury the various people we have beaten since the start of 2023. The likes of the Fortune Sons, Razor Blade, Latoya Hixx, the Kingdom, and Robert Armstrong have been laid to rest here. We looked to add even more bodies to this collection, in the form of the Slayton Brothers. The Rogue Horsemen had to ruin a good thing we had going. They ruined something that could of kept going for possibly the rest of the year. How did they ruined it? By beating the Age of Fall on Revolution one hundred seventy seven to win the vacant Trios Championships. A Championship the Age of Fall has history with, by the way. Jay and...Ken had history within their fingertips. They could of been the two people who won the Trios Championships for a record breaking third time. Their chance at making history was gone in a instant. For what? To make the Rogue Horsemen seem like they are actually worth a damn? Well, good for them, I guess. They are just a tad bit important now but the Trios Championships? Practically meaningless now. They can have fun ruling over a dead Trios Division, facing the same trio over and over which would most likely be the Kingdom since they're probably be the only trio to chase after their Championships. The Outsiders and the Bulletproof Empire act like they don't care anymore. The Age of Fall has no interest in going after some worthless pieces of gold. But hey, if they want to make the Championships meaningful and relevant again, just give the Age of Fall a call. We'll be more than happy to whoop their asses and take those Trios Championships from their hands.
A slight grin appears on Dan's face.
Dan Anderson I know it's only May but I have a good feeling that this year is going to be the Age of Fall's year so might as well hand over those awards over to us. These past few months, we have dominated like no other. Beating anyone who is tossed in the Age of Fall's way, including the legendary Scotty Paine. Can anybody else say they have beaten Scotty Paine in ECWF during the past year or so? Probably not, including the person I'm defending my Nex*Gen Championship against at Rain of Blood but I'll address him later. At StarrCade, not only did I retain my Nex*Gen Championship but I also became a double Champion when Roxanne and I won the World Tag Team Championships. Proving myself as the Iron Man of ECWF. I held this Nex*Gen Championship *He pats the front plate of the Nex*Gen Championship* for one hundred sixty two days and counting. Forty more days and I would of held the Championship for two hundred days. I can guarantee you that the Age of Fall will continue to make many memorable memories until the end of the year. Who knows, we might make one on the next Revolution.
The grin on his face grows a little wider as if he has something up his sleeve in regards to the next Revolution.
Dan Anderson At Rain of Blood, I will once again prove myself as the Iron Man of ECWF when I defend and retain both of my Championships. Pretty bold of me to assume that I'm leaving Saint Louis with both of my Championships. What can I say? I'm supremely confident in my abilities. Unlike some people, I can back up my words and actually get the job done. You can go as far to say that it's not a prediction but a freaking spoiler that by the time Rain of Blood is over, I will have both of my Championships still in my possession. Roxanne and I are defending our World Tag Team Championships against the Kingdom. A team the Age of Fall has defeated numerous times. There's no way in hell they are beating us, much less taking the World Tag Team Championships from us. They should save themselves the embarrassment by either not showing up for the mega event or lie down in the middle of the ring for a quick loss. Otherwise, we're going to slowly pick them apart, draw out their demise as long as possible, making them wish they never stepped up to challenge for the World Tag Team Championships. Then once we're done having our fun with them, we'll put them out of their misery, continuing our reign as World Tag Team Champions. Mikey and April may think they're going to be the greatest brother and sister duo but nope. It's going to be Roxanne and I! We're going to be the best brother and sister duo by holding the World Tag Team Championships for as long as we want. Maybe even becoming the greatest World Tag Team Champions in ECWF history.
Dan chuckles, patting the front of his World Tag Team Championship. We
Dan Anderson I'm also defending my Nex*Gen Championship against someone I beaten once already at the beginning of the year, Caine Marik. I get it, Caine. You want to bounce back after losing to our seemingly unstoppable Worldheavyweight Champion. But to go after my Nex*Gen Championship? Are you sure that's a good idea? Have you not learned from your past failure? Do you want history to repeat itself? If you couldn't beat me first time, what makes you think you can beat me a second time? Just because you're changed man means things are turn out different this time. It's not. Surely, the few brain cells you have are telling you not to go down this route. Alas, looks like I have to embarrass you a second time. Prevent you from being a Champion. Without Championship gold of your own, people might think that you're the weak link of the Rogue Horsemen since you can't win any Championships like them. How terrible for you. Can't have anyone think less of you, huh?
The grin on Dan's face is replaced by a smirk.
Dan Anderson The Nex*Gen Championship means a lot to me. I'll be dammed if I'm going to let someone like you take this Nex*Gen Championship from me and let all of my hard work go down the drain. For one hundred sixty two days, I have defended this Championship against any and all challengers. For one hundred sixty two days, I have made the Championship meaningful, prestigious, and relevant again. For one hundred sixty two days, I have elevated the Championship to where it is today. I care about this Championship. I will fight and defend it until I take my final breath. If you want this Championship then you have to pry it from cold, dead hands because I'm never letting go of the Championship. This is MY Championship! I'm holding this Championship for as long as I damn well please! You or nobody else is not taking this Championship from me! Try all you want. Throw whatever you want at me. I can take it. Show me how much of changed man you are. I talk a big game but can you back it up?
Dan nods his head at Gage, as if he's signaling him to do something. Gage would pull out a lighter out of his pocket, flicking it on.
Dan Anderson You see that flame? *He points at the flame of the lighter* That flame represents the fire within me. It will continue to burn for all of eternity. My fire will burn so brightly that the whole world can see it? This graveyard represents you, Caine. Why? Because your hopes and dreams of becoming Champion will go up in flames.
The two step back as Gage tosses the lighter onto the graveyard, the graveyard coming up in flames. Dan laughs as the two would walk around and stand in front of the fire, a few feet away from it.
Dan Anderson Watch as your hopes and dreams are burned away, leaving nothing but ashes. Once it's been reduced to ashes, I will step on the ashes of your dream, moving onward towards becoming the greatest Nex*Gen Champion in ECWF history. Just like what I did to your fellow Rogue Horsemen at StarrCade, I will embarrass you in front of the entire world when you lose to someone who would be less than one hundred percent. The loss will sting a whole lot more this time because you would of loss to me twice. It's funny how your team seemed bothered by the comments I made about mister wannabe tough guy, Robert. Well, do something about it. Shut me up. Get some retribution. Just be careful not to let your emotions get the best of you or it'll lead to your downfall. Mocking me and trying to impersonate me? What are you, a little kid? Oh, that's right. You only have a few brain cells in that neanderthal brain of yours so of course, you'll have child like tendencies. I'm going to say this next part as slowly as possible so your neanderthal brain can comprehend what I'm saying. You...are...never...going...to...beat...me. You...are...not...taking...the...Nex*Gen...Championship...from...me. Give...up...or...I'll...burn...your...dreams...down...to...the...ground. Got all that?
The smirk on Dan's face widens.
Dan Anderson You say I'm trying to act some big bad final boss. Perhaps I should start acting like a final boss. Embrace the moniker of "The Final Boss". I shall become the One Winged Angel who will bring despair to ECWF. Starting with you, Caine. You made it to the final level and now, you're facing "The Final Boss" who has the one thing you want. Championship gold. Unfortunately for you, you'll be defeated rather quickly, and you'll be sent back all the way back to level one. Forced to transverse the levels, in hopes of getting another shot at gold. Heh. Judgment Day is upon you. Your fate has been sealed. Your demise is inevitable. Remember the day, Caine. The day you met your downfall at the hands of Dan Anderson. The forever reigning, defending Nex*Gen Champion. Believe that.
The smirk remains plastered on Dan's face as him and Gage make their exit. The camera focuses on the fire that's consuming the graveyard, burning away. The only sound that could be heard is the fire crackling as the scene slowly fades to black, signaling the end of the scene.
Scene 2
It's the day of Rain of Blood and Dan is currently in the Age of Fall's locker room, getting ready for his matches. Dan is dressed in his ring gear, sitting on a wooden bench, his Championships next to him, talking on the phone. Jay and Desmond would enter the locker room, Dan ending his conversation with the person on the other side of the call, turning his attention towards them, setting his phone in his bag.
Dan Anderson Have you heard anything from Ken since that night?
Jay shakes his head.
Jay Reynolds He won't answer my calls or reply to any of my texts.
Dan Anderson Guess it makes what we're going to do a little easier. Hopefully for his sake, he shows up for the upcoming Revolution. Otherwise, we might have to hunt him down and he's not going to like what happens next.
Jay and Desmond nod their heads in agreement to what Dan said.
Dan Anderson Jay, are you ok with what we're going to do?
Without hesitation, Jay nods his head yes.
Jay Reynolds I am. We gonna do what's best for the Age of Fall. Even it means doing what we're going to do and having no regrets about it.
Desmond Edwards What about the guy you've been talking to? Is he going to be at the next Revolution?
Dan Anderson He'll be there. Everything is going to according to plan. Anyways, I better get going. I got a big night ahead of me.
Dan grabs his Championships, rising to his feet.
Jay Reynolds Good luck out there, Dan.
Desmond Edwards Show them who's boss.
Dan Anderson Heh. Thank you and will do.
Dan fist bumps Jay and Desmond then exits the locker room. Jay and Desmomd start talking amongst themselves once Dan has left the locker room. Dan would meet up with Roxanne outside the locker room, dressed in her ring gear, her Championship over her shoulder.
Roxanne Ready to show the world why we're going to be the greatest brother and sister duo and World Tag Team Champions in ECWF history?
Dan Anderson I sure am. Let's do this!
Roxanne Right!
The two smiled, fist bumping each other then heads to the ring for their upcoming defense against the Kingdom, the scene slowly fading to black once the two are out of sight.
