Victor Kall
in
The Quick and to the Pointless
A close up shot of a dark silhouette against an off-white background. The silent shadow is knelt down with its head bowed momentarily, before it slowly raises up. Tufts of hair that match the background can be seen at the bottom of the shot, and as the silhouette rises, Victor Kall rises into view. He's shirtless, wearing his black wrestling trunks, the left half of his face visibly powdered as he presents a left side profile. He looks as he does when he's ready to step between the ropes.
Kall: "Trying to make sense of an insane world is an act of futility. I think someone famous said that. If not, they should of. It sounds profoundly true. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Over on Monday Night Mayhem, John Blade is getting an opportunity for the ECWF Heavyweight Title. Yes, the same John Blade who I defeated in my debut match. Somehow, he keeps getting main event and title opportunities despite not actually earning them. Insanity is expecting John Blade to actually come through."
Victor finally turns to the camera whilst rolling his neck and closing his eyes. The rest of his face is powdered like the left half.
Kall: "In the meantime, I'm over on Revolution and despite winning the right to main event StarrCade, I am relegated to the middle. There are a couple of obvious truths on Friday night. Truth number one, after putting up an absolutely pathetic attempt against me, to which the man seemed like he didn't even try, Robert Saints is now in a main event match. Apparently in ECWF, the more you fail, the more opportunities you get. Makes sense. Truth number two, the Age of the Fall run the show. Not just on Revolution, but probably the entire ECWF. Considering that I think they have like sixteen members now, it's easy to see how that could happen. But as a long-time wrestling fan, it's starting to seem very nWo circa 1998. You know, anyone can join regardless of talent. I mean, six of them couldn't defeat me at once in the Rumble."
From off camera, we can hear the low rumble of a murmuring and impatient crowd. It throws off Victor's concentration for a moment. He looks down in front of him while his right hand raises to rub the back of his neck. Face scrunches just the slightest; a rare glimpse of discomfort from the ECWF relative newcomer.
Kall: "I don't like these 'intimate' promos. I feel like a zoo animal. You all want to just feed me bananas, but I just want to fling my shit at you. What I was saying before, that's why I chose the Horror-Core title; well, one of the reasons. I know that Age of the Fall members are going to interfere and try to help out their own. Let's face it, Jay Reynolds on his own doesn't have much of a chance to inflict the damage necessary to put me down. No, I fully expect it will be Victor Kall vs. The Age of the Fall for the Horror-Core title in the main event at StarrCade. Maybe once I take that title, they'll actually start spelling my name correctly on promotional materials."
Kall: "I guess I should talk about my match. Dark Tiger. He's seven feet tall, and I've heard before that you can't teach that. You also apparently teach an old cat new tricks. Like how to win a match this decade. Am I just doomed to face opponents who don't put up much of a fight. Then again, after I fell this redwood of a man, I'm sure he'll get a main event match out of it like Robert Saints did. What else can I say about a man who looks like a stretched out metrosexual? I'm looking forward to the match? I'm not overlooking him with StarrCade looming large in the background? Well I'm not going to lie, that's what I'm doing. That's why I agreed to have a camera in my face and cut a formal wrestling promo. Because I know that if I didn't, I would have cameras track me down like they did at Sky Valley those weeks back. And I've got limited time to prepare for my Madison Square Garden debut. After Revolution this Friday, I make my way back east. Dark Tiger won't amount to much more than a speed bump that I'll make an example out of."
The fade out begins as Victor finishes his last sentence, then we go to black shortly after.
