Episode 1 - The Streamers

[Rock N' Roll God]

“Sweet Child of Mine” by Guns and Roses plays as we see RNRG sitting in a comfortable leather chair within a large studio, images of his career hang behind him with replica championships on show. He leans down to grab a glass filled with amber liquid from a small table nearby and takes a swig. A black boom mic is before him with a microphone attached, RNRG has a lit cigar perched in his fingers with the smoke dancing in the air, he lifts it up to his lips and draws in. Blowing the smoke out as the music fades away.

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG Alright. Welcome to the first ever ECWF Podcast! I’m obviously the Rock N’ Roll God and we’re going to try something new.

RNRG swirls the glass in his hand and finishes it.

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG I’ve been wanting to do this for quite a while now. A recurring thought that has not gone away. Finally I’ve taken the plunge. Got this fancy studio where we will dig a little deeper into my guests. Some are current ECWF talent but we’ll be exploring life outside of these parameters too, having extended invitations to people outside of the federation that should be interesting to listen to.

He holds the glass up to a staff member who comes in with a bottle of scotch, pouring it into his glass, RNRG tells the staff member to leave the bottle and he places it on the table beside him.

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG In the coming weeks we will have the likes of my wife, Amber Indigo. Hall of Fame inductee Lynn Starr. Former Diamond Champion, Deena Hixx. Ace Sky. A two parter with Robert Saints. Recently returned Rockin’ Lunatic to name just a few who’ll grace this podcast. However tonight we have two men who have yet to make their debuts in ECWF, who have a huge online presence on streaming platforms, a big signing for Mayhem and I personally cannot wait to see them in action.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ I like Nova & Rogue but that’s me being biassed.

RNRG gives a courtesy chuckle.

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG Alright. Please welcome my guests at this time. Nova & Rogue. The team known as ‘The Streamers’!

Rogue and Nova sit adjacent to Rock N’ Roll God in identical chairs to what RNRG is sitting in, two boom mics with microphones set up on either man, behind them on the wall are pictures from ECWF most historic events. Both Rogue & Nova have championship belts strapped around their waists.

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG I’ll have to get this out of the way. Congratulations on your victory and winning those titles. However this is MY show and MY company so if you fellas don’t mind, can we ditch those belts? I said I'd like to send open invitations to people outside my federation but not a fan of the Mac’s.

Rogue and Nova look at the titles and shrug, unclasping the belts and taking them off, an ECWF crew member comes on to take the titles from them as they get comfortable in their seats.

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG Much obliged. Now can I offer you some scotch? One of the finest cigars a man can purchase?

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ We’re both teetotal.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ And non-smokers.

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG That is fair enough.

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG My first question is for both of you. How did you guys find the ECWF?

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ A number of years ago when we first started streaming our game of choice was ECWF 2k18.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ My favourite game of all time!

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ We created ourselves and used to narrate our stories through the gameplay.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ Eric Donavan was a beast in the game!

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ Obviously we streamed a lot of other video games and every now and again go back to it.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ Nostalgia.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ We did a few live streams of us watching pay per views, sorry, Mega Events as they’re now called. So when the road agent for ECWF talked to us about possibly joining there was no hesitation really.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ A lot of other promotions wanted to take over our streaming channel for revenue and control but you guys didn’t want to touch our channel so it was a no brainer. A dream of mine to recreate our epic tag title wins in 2k18 in real life!

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG So big fans of my company. What is your overall take of the ECWF?

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ Honestly I think it’s brimming with potential.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ A lot of old names still lingering around but I think there is a new guard resurging against them.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ Look at the walking talking brick house that is known as Misery. Victor Kall is now a two time champion! Daron Smythe keeps on winning titles wherever he goes. Erik Holland is back! Jeff Bazos’ relative too and the team we face on our opening night, the war gods!

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ And that is just Mayhem. I hear Revolution has signed a Russian warmachine, Vanko. Cliff O’Clink is leaving his mark. Charlie Fiegel is a hardcore icon and your world champion!

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ Plenty of potential with the new and obviously the old guard. It CAN be more but we’ll make sure our online presence helps build the audience up more.

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG Do you think the ECWF will fit your guys' style?

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ We’re a team that wants to succeed. War Gods have made themselves known on Mayhem leading to Grave Consequences. They lost but will remain a huge barrier in the tag team division. The Slayton’s are the reigning and defending champions.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ Mayhem’s main event is for the Tag Team Championships with David & Patrick defending against the two men who headlined the mega event, Victor & Caine and the unlikely duo of Erik Holland & Daron Smythe!

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ We want those tag team titles! We also want those Trios titles too but someone needs to be added into the mix.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ ECWF’s tag division has gotten stronger and I think we fit into it quite nicely, Aceward.

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG It’s Rock N’ Roll God to you. Let’s go back to your beginnings. How were The Streamers formed? You two friends from high school or something or met up in different promotion?

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ I’m Dutch and I moved to the UK in my young teenage years.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ I’m English and we became friends instantly.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ We share a love for video games and would go over each others houses to play.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ Should have been doing homework but that went out of the window.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ We watched guys streaming and thought we could do that and it all began as a laugh. Our channel grew slowly and we were making decent money.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ Paid for wrestling school and amenities.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ We’ve been pretty inseparable.

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG You touched on it briefly earlier but besides capturing the World Tag Team titles. What are your other goals in ECWF? Do we see a singles run for either of you? Do we see a third member so you can take the Trios Division? What is your general plan besides dominating the tag team scene here is more or less the question?

Rogue takes a swig of his drink.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ If the guys on revolution want to have challengers for the Trios Championship then off course consider us. We’d happily challenge whoever wants to stand by our side. I’d personally take Misery but he might piledriver us through tables for his sick twisted pleasure.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ Doesn’t matter who it is. We will love to challenge for the Trios titles. We obviously love to challenge for the tag team titles. As for singles..

They both share a glance at one another.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ ..I don’t know if that is something we’d consider at this moment in time.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ We’re like brothers, family. Sure they do fall out, break and fight in pro wrestling. I get that. Teams do break up. But we’re pretty inseparable.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ If the ECWF considers the streamers ruling for singles belts.

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG And what is that?

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ If I won the Next-Gen championship then it’ll be the streamers who won it. Next title defence could be Rogue defending it, the following show it could be me defending it, hell in one night the belt could be defended twice with both me and rogue defending it against different challengers.

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG Since you’re both gamers!

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ …guess thats a no.

RNRG chooses to ignore that comment.

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG What was the first system you two ever played on? The first one I remember playing was the Nintendo NES, I mastered duck hunt!

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ For me It was the Playstation 2. My father was an avid gamer himself and had systems like the Mega Drive, over here it was called the Genesis. I got the PS2 at christmas and it changed my world!

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ Like Rogue, my first console bought for me was the PS2. BUT from a young age I played on the SNES. Legend of Zelda, Street Fighter II, Super Mario World, Secret of Mana, Donkey Kong, Mario Kart.. I was blessed as a child!

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ Castle of Illusion & Sonic was mine.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ I think we were playing on the xBox 360 when you came to the UK.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ I had the 360 & PS3.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ We had the original ECWF video game and played that but still doesn’t compare to ECWF 2K18! I cannot stress how much I love that game!

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ To be honest with you we have made a very good living off streaming.

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG Do you just do youtube or are you on any other platform like Twitch?

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ We are basically on every platform from twitch, youtube, tiktok, clapper, insta, facebook, kick, uscreen, linkedin.. I am probably forgetting some.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ We make sure we find time to exercise and train but majority of the time we’re in front of a camera recording content. When we’re travelling we’ve got a camera to hand vlogging.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ Always have a notebook to hand to think of content we can create and keep relevant to our audience. They’re the ones who’ve made this dream become a reality.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ We don’t need to wrestle because we’re making a really good living online but we want to be wrestlers and this is our chance.

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG With that being said, do your personalities ever clash? Like with you, Nova, being a high flyer, was the style not going good at first? How long did it take before your styles didn't clash?

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ Honestly we just click.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ We are one in the same, really, sure we’ve trained and wrestle sort of similar and if we faced each other then it would be like wrestling a mirror image of myself.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ We’re students of the game and I’ve added something different as I learn. During those times we train I do attempt different moves and if they work then i’ll execute it during my next match.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ He is like a mimic during training and I can only wish I was like him.

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG You really do seem like brothers.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ I guess it was fortune that brought us together when Rogue moved to England. We have been pretty inseparable.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ When you know someone is good for you, you don’t let that person go. Nova has been my best friend and like you said, Mister Indigo, a brother and I’m very fortunate for that!

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG What's family life like outside of the wrestling world? Are you guys bachelors, got partners, kids, pets?

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ I’m an only child. Probably why I’m so attached to Nova.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ I’ve got an older sister who is a nurse.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ My parents have been a fantastic support for me. They didn’t think the ‘internet show’ as they’d put it wouldn’t work but I’ve managed to buy them their forever home recently.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ My parents are the same, sister has kids, i’ve managed to buy my folks a home and they’ve got no financial burdens.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ We both don’t have children and we’re both currently single.

I know you’ve recently become tag champions in another promotion but have you two been to other companies and won championships there?

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ Initially it was only going to be in the ECWF as we both lived out our video game fantasies.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ The chance to be inaugural champions at the place you don’t want to mention was too good of an opportunity to miss out on. So they’re our first championships to our name.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ But we want those tag team & trios championships. They both have a history and we want to be a part of that history!

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ We’re signed on mayhem for that very reason. To work our way to the World Tag Team Championships!

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ If we could work on Revolution too for the trios then so be it. We will challenge whomever and if we’re unsuccessful then we’ll get another partner and go again until we are victorious!

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG Finally I wanna know from the both of you. How could you point ECWF in the right direction to appeal to guys around your styles? You two seem to be youthful and I want to reach that to get the next crowd of ECWF stars ready to become legends in their own rights? Just give me a few words that would help attract your style of stars.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ Honestly I think Mayhem has turned to the flagship show. It has an incredible amount of star talent! Stephen Grant has taken the helm and made it something special.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ Revolution seems to be having a blip and with All or Nothing around the corner I do hope they pick up and show Mayhem what they’re made of.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ We have our platforms that we stream on and we can reach a vast audience. Allowing us to do that will only aid younger people in.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ Even doing a podcast is opening ECWF to a wider audience.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ I think ECWF needs to promote more. Get those agents out there to try and get people in.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ Doesn’t have to be big named wrestlers. You want the legends of tomorrow, today. They all start as unknowns and that is what you’re going to need. Unknowns to create a path on their journey to legendary status within the ECWF.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ I know that’s more than a few words but we cannot say some words and they all come flooding in. If you want to do an online streaming show then i’m sure we’ll be happy to help. A weekly show that could cover whats happening on Revolution and Mayhem and get fan interaction.

Rogue | One half of ‘The Streamers’ Be a start. Every young person has youtube so upping your presence on there will be huge in the long run.

Nova | One Half of ‘The Streamers’ I think 2025 will be the year ECWF will flourish once Stephen and the new GM of Revolution can show the wrestling world what their brands are all about.

Rock N’ Roll God | RNRG Alright well that is some sound advice and I’ll definitely be looking into some of those avenues once we come off the air.
